2/28/2024 0 Comments Obsession bows defcon 6![]() My answer will be a long read as well and I am sure there will be some people who will have different ways of doing things. If you made it to the end of this post thank you and I desperately look forward to any and all useful replies! Lastly can anyone suggest a good bow tech near the mississippi coast as the shop I originally bought the bow from I refuse to go back to due to terrible customer service. Is it just me or does that seem awfully slow? I have seen video after video and post after post of people getting 300+ fps with 450gr or more arrows so what's the deal? I know you lose speed with shorter draw length but this seems odd. So in the end I've spent $1400 for an extra 10lbs of KE? Also the most annoying thing about those numbers is that my old Buckmaster was throwing 405gr Easton epics at 267fps. According to the chrony I am getting 284fps max and averaging closer to 280. My specs are 2017 obsession M6Z 28.5" draw 74 lb (allegedly) draw weight, shooting a 425gr Easton aftermath 340 out of dropper rest with only d-loop and peep on the string. I NEVER had to mess with anything, just take it out of the case and shoot.Īll of that being said, I am stuck with this bow and I've managed to hopefully work out the "bugs" in it up to a point but it just seems awfully slow for a flagship piece. I went from a 15 year old Buckmaster BTR pro to this and honestly I wish I had my old bow back. Starting with the dealer being impossible to contact after purchase (possibly closed up shop a week after purchase?) Next came the e-clip holding the bottom cam axle disappeared causing the limbs to move a part and almost allowing the cam to come totally off at full draw! (Thank God I noticed something was not right before releasing the shot) next my serving at both cams started sliding down the string causing all kinds of shot consistency issues. Since I've owned the bow, which is only 3 months, I've had nothing but bad luck with it. Without going into a long story about the trials and tribulations I have been through with this thing, I will just come out and say that I just don't think my bow is performing the way it should and would like to hear from other owners or dealers about your experiences. I have searched through pages and pages of reviews and watched video after video of reviews on my bow before purchasing, and now that I own it I am overwhelmingly underwhelmed with it. I've lurked on this forum for quite a while now and let me first say thanks for all the amazing advice and just general information that is on this forum.
